HOW DESIGN CONFERENCE

Yesterday was my last session at the conference, and I have to say it was money well spent! I sat in lectures with Illise Brenun and Peleg Top on Marketing for Creatives. I saw how Joe Duffy, Stefan Bucher, John Foster, Jeff Fisher, and Charles Anderson all live designed lives. One of my favorite sessions was letterpress 101, with Judith Berliner from Full Circle Press. I'm more in love with letterpress than I have ever been before! My last session of the day was from the folks at EMMA with some great tips on email campaigns. I have to hand to the folks at HOW they really know how to put an inspiring group of designers together. Now the weekend can't come fast enough!

BONNIE ALLEN JEWELRY

This weekend I completed a site redesign for Bonnie Allen Jewelry. She has some great new pieces in from India and we used saffron oranges as the inspiration to brighten up her site. Still keeping the design very clean and let the jewelry shots lead the way. The site came out great check it out, you might even find a great new accessory!

PHOTOHUG™ FRAMES

At the end of last year I worked with the most fabulous copywriter, Kerry McManama on a project for Lexington Studios. The studio was developing a new product called PhotHugs™ to enhance and customize digital frames. Kerry and I were given the task to design an insert and a sticker that would be featured on and inside the Pandigital LCD frame box. They have just hit the shelves of stores, keep your eyes open for our sticker!

YIPPEE!

After much debate to either wait until I legally become a Sullivan this September when I marry my love. Or just move forward with J.Sullivan Design, I went with the latter and am launching my new site today! Let me know what you think of the new look. Thanks to everyone who has supported and encouraged me through this past year, especially Tim. For the times you have run to the printer, post office, and tested new sites for me. But most importantly is always just there to listen.

LEGISLATION

I just finished working with Craven & Ober, Policy Strategists on a piece of legislation about the way a professional license can be used for electricity versus new technologies, like security, fire, networking computers, smart homes, voice technology, phone and wireless. It was a pretty intense project consisting of six graphs with a very tight turn around. The piece came out great, good luck in the Senate ladies!

YUMMY!

I have come across the ultimate cupcake blog! Hundreds of recipes and tips all on cupcakes — who doesn't love a great cupcake. Actually I love all mini and individual foods, but cupcakes are my very favorite. I personally recommend the Old-Fashioned Chocolate Cupcake With Coconut Buttercream Frosting.
